Man, I gotta say this is a new low. Making customers pay for botched OTA updates shouldnāt be a thing at all.
Iāve been debating what to do with my 21 GTPE when my options comes up and this kind of thing makes me want to look around. I love the MME, but itās hard to swallow the pill of paying...
I tried calling two dealerships today and it sure seams like they arenāt interested in making this easy. Tuttle Click in Irvine, Ca wouldnāt book an appointment until I showed up in person. Villa Ford in Orange, Ca wouldnāt schedule anything until I got a letter for the recal - which I have.
If you go to an Americas Tire to get these installed, I recommend inspecting them before they put them on. I got back from an install this morning and they put on the all season tires, not summer, on my car. Now I have to go back again after they order the correct tiresā¦
I have pretty strict rules about the kids not eating in the car and I keep it vacuumed and cleaned. They still look brand new about 2 years into ownership of my 21 GTPE
Iām looking for the summer version, not the all season for my ā21 GTPE. I called my local Americas Tire and they got into contact with Hankook and said theyāre not able to get them yet, couldnāt give me any info on when theyād be available.
Short of finding these Iām considering Pilot Sport 4s...
I gave up on this issue with my car. I had clicking and after over a month of the dealer not being able to figure it out, they just decided it was the tires making noise and gave it back to me. Not going back to that dealer again.
Nope. On flat ground a hard turn causes clunking noises. Just like as is outlined here: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10208151-0001.pdf
This is why I brought the car in over a month agoā¦ Iām headed over to pick up my car now, letās see how it drivesā¦
After much delay theyāre finally giving me my car back. Apparently @Ford Motor Company has said that the tires just make the noise when itās cold out. Such bull. I waited almost 5 weeks for them to just cop out with that explanation. I wasnāt given much confidence Iād get any kind of...
Yes, they have my key fob. From what I can tell over the phone, theyāre leaving it in the car and locking it?
Theyāve done it twice now. I have no idea how these people are so incompetent.
This dealer is driving me crazy. I call today in the afternoon and they tell me that they locked themselves out of the car again! Whatās worse, they didnāt bother to call me to ask to unlock it for them. I had to keep calling to finally get into contact with the service advisor to get the ball...
My situation isnāt quite as bad, but Iāve also had my car parked at the dealer for 4 weeks now. Iāve considered the lemon law option, but I really liked the car. If they would compensate me for my month without the car I would feel a lot better about it. The crappy dealers are killing my love...
Well, theyāre finally working on my car. Apparently at this dealer all it takes is 26 days of the car sitting around - and one call to the customer experience team - to get them to look at your problem.
Well, I called and got a case number this morning. I got a little more info: my dealer has been in correspondence with Ford engineering exactly two times since dropping it off. Mostly it seems like theyāre just not doing anything. Supposedly somebody may call me back within 2 days. Iām skeptical.
@Ford Motor Company any chance you can help? Iām getting ghosted by my dealership everyday. If they do pick up the phone they say theyāll call back and never do. I kind of want to head over physically to force them to talk to me, but I worry this will be perceived as an escalation. I still have...
Youāre probably hearing the physical connection to the HV battery being engaged or disengaged by the HVBJB. When the car is off there is no physical connection to the HVB.
