Plot thickens (for me at least)...
I just posted that I got my vehicle back from service.

They discovered a code that indicates my lift gate release actuator might have a...
I just got my Mach-E back from service which was to replace my 12V battery for abnormal levels of drain.
I had reported sometime back in this thread with my concerns about my 12V battery dropping state of charge by 15-20% overnight regularly...
I took the car to the dealership for half day. All they did was software updates and put it on a trickle charger. They asked me to watch over it.
After the trickle charger the 12v SOC was at 70%. 3 days later with about 30-40km driving per day the SOC was 42%. š¬
I think Iām due for a 12v...
Two days ago I encountered what I imagine as some form of software glitch or inadvertently-triggered behavior with my vehicle (2021 Mach-E GTPE).
I had just backed in to a parking spot and placed the vehicle in park. I hit the power-off button and on doing so, vehicle shut down as expected...
You definitely have me thinking about this... parts of my home are right above my garage and checking my phone, it seems thatI have a PaaK connection to the car just moving about the home. Walking around the house maybe I'm triggering those connections more often that I really want to.
Well, here are my observations with my Bluetooth dongleā¦
It seems my SOC ranges between 53% and 66% throughout multiple days of driving roughly 30-40km per day. The main thing that is concerning is that I shutdown the car at night with 66 and by the morning a 10+% drain seems drastic to me. I...
OK, so I checked the 12V battery SOC on my OBDII bluetooth dongle. And it showed 43% when I got in the car this afternoon. While driving for a few kilometers it got back up to 54%, which I suppose is good.
But I'm wondering if I'm just not driving enough or keeping it on charger enough to bring...
Thanks for the suggestions!! And you reminded me that I had one of these Bluetooth OBDII readers sitting around.
Here are a couple of sample readings:
When not actively charging/not plugged in and vehicle off, I get this set of readings.
When plugged in and actively charging I get this:
I...
I've been gettin more 12V battery fault messages with "Plug in to maintain 12V battery" messages on FordPass. I suspect this combined with more frequent "going to sleep" modes appearing on the Sync center console indicate an unhealthy 12V battery.
Popped my hood, annoyingly removed all the...
I am not sure if I'm facing a software problem or a mechanical one. Sending out feelers in case anybody else has seen the same.
Recently I've been encountering situations where upon unlocking the vehicle (usually by PaaK, but sometimes also by door key code), all the passenger doors unlock and...
Was this part of any of the recent OTA PowerUp's? If so, can someone share which one?
I read in another thread (https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/ford-has-put-a-hold-on-installing-21b02-and-paak-after-21b36.7402/) that it's recommended to delete your current PaaK setup and start from...
Iāve experienced this myself but only in situations with hills (or even the slightest incline). I donāt think the car is really going in reverse though. Itās just that when you put your foot on the accelerator pedal it goes into a āreleasing the clutchā state where potentially gravity is still...
I use PaaK and it does annoy the hell out of me when it takes a bunch of presses to open. It's doubly embarrassing (if not more) when I stand outside my car trying to get the damn door to open multiple times.
Here's another annoyance I'm wondering if others have experienced... The car detects...
Ouch! I had to go back and look at your original damage photos. Looks painful.
Out of curiosity, how does one even go about fixing the banged up door frame? It looks like part of the unibody construction. Do the cut it out and weld in a new section? Or do the try to hammer it out...
Iām super curious to follow this thread. Are you thinkingā¦ āIf I do an ECU swap then I can magically get these missing featuresā ?
The former software guy in me says that your chances are slimā¦ and more likely youād just end up with a brick. But hey Iām itching to find out!
In software...
Iāve found the kick to open both super useful some of the time and frustratingly disfunctional other times.
Itās quite nice when Iām trying to load my Costco haul into the back. However, with PaaK it is such a crapshoot as to when it would work.
It had worked for me 100% of the time...
Paint it white and they could cross-sell it as the Popemobile!
(I hope I don't go to hell for this comment... I am not wishing for the Pope to be in a hearse in any capacity.)
