  1. Key FOB replacement

That is about what I paid for a second FOB when my 2021 came with only one. Fortunately, Ford recognized that the phone as a key was unreliable and started sending two FOBs with the car. They were gracious enough to send me a check for the amount I paid for my second FOB.
  2. Never saw this flag on dashboard before

I believe it is how many miles until the next charge.
  3. The Backup Start Passcode is a Lifesaver

    Great tip, thank you.
  4. Weird Apple CarPlay issue - help needed.

When it is wired, you get the benefit of charging and stability. Why rely on bluetooth?
  5. Turning off the car

I had never thought about putting the car in park first before turning it off. When it is stopped, I just turn off power and walk away, then the car locks itself after your key is out of range.
  6. Nav Expiring. Worth renewing?

I have never liked paying for navigation. I get along with Waze or Apple and there is not charge for updates. Manufactures of EVs should never charge for updates to Navigation.
  7. Can the next generation Mach-E please include more buttons?

I like the electronic buttons on the MME. When I bought my MME in 2021 the volume switch only controled volume. Now it controls, volume, temperature, and blower speed. That's the value of having over-the-air updates.
  8. Keep it or get out now

It really depends on whether you like it, have charging capability at home, and trouble free. If the three points are not satisfied, I guess you should take the loss now.
  9. CarPlay/Wifi Issue Driving Me Nuts

You already know the fix. Use the wired connection. It works and as a side benefit it will charge the phone.
  10. Any coders willing to make a Mach-E app

I had a career in programming, so I wouldn't attempt hacking the Ford's software. 1. Ford's staff has enough problems insuring they don't tread on Apple carplay and Android apps. 2. Ford staff doesn't know about any hacks to their code and would quite likely damage the hack on an update. Too...
  11. Opinions welcome - is this a good deal?

I would get the recalls done because there is no money involved. If you’re satisfied with the 2021, then keep it. Not much of a difference from 2021 and 2023. You don’t say what your payments are now, but if they are close to $775, then the switch might make sense.
  12. Who is repenting the decision of purchasing a Mach e? I am for sure

I agree with you about the dealer. I also bought a 2021 MME. I had the windshield replaced on a recall, and a door sensor replaced under warranty. The only other cost to me was a $49 tire rotation at 10,000 miles. I would like to state three examples where Ford went beyond the average...
  13. Car Makers Must Bring Back Buttons Says EuroNCAP

I'm with you. Ford has done an excellent job by what was a "volume only knob" to various functions via over-the-air updates.
  14. DC fast charging question

It's part of what you were asking. Avoid charging in the upper range at charge/min stations, because the upper ranges 60%, 70% and 80% get slower so you charge/min will be costly. I have read most of the data on charging stations on this forum. The problem is, it's a moving target when it comes...
  15. Ford account dashboard 12V battery "bug" fixed?

This not a bug but should be labled as 12 volt battery. It is indeed the 12 Volt battery, but if you click on " View all Vehicle details", the next page shows charge levels for the main battery. The percentage should also be there, but that's on Fordpass.
  16. Plug and Charge - how do I tell how much I paid per kWh?

I agree, since added miles is known and the cost is known, then a less confusing statistic would be cost per mile. I know if I get 25 miles per gallon on an Ice car and the cost per gallon is $3.50. that is meaningful. Miles per dollar would be meaningful. At home it is pretty easy because I...
  17. Prices compared for charging at Supercharger (between Tesla and non-Teslas) - by JerryRigEverything

This post is the best I have read on the forum. It shows that the adapter works on Tesla, the cost on Tesla, and the comparison of cost to a Tesla vehicle. This is something I've been waiting for and expected. Tesla is not going to give away their advantage to non-Teslas. Than you.
  18. Total range reduction due to weight of carrying the Tesla adaptor around?

That come-on was clever, but for those that fell for it, the adapter probably wouldn't affect range as much as a big dinner at a restaurant.
  19. Phone as key and password start up

Sometimes complexity comes with troubles. I have used Phone-as-a-key but never password to start the car. Phone-as-a-key went south after the first update. FORD updates and Apple updates are not coordinated, so I went with the trusty FOB. I have plenty of room in my pocket to carry the FOB, so I...
