Like you Grahame I have been in from the start. I have finally decided to throw in the towel.
unfortunately my enthusiasm waned. I have heard nothing about my car built last December from Ford or Dealer. No direct confirmation of Ford covering the grant. No details of the QC checks being...
Certainly not alone. I had installed a commando outlet installed in my garage to charge in the winter and an Anderson unit outside where the car will be most of the year. We can also charge another car as the Anderson unit has a load monitoring and limiting facility.
We fortunately have a TT...
Some ESVE‘s incorporate an adaptive fuse that can be set to a not to exceed load. A clamp cable on the incoming supply monitors and measures the actual load and regulates the charge output in times of high loading to ensure the maximum load is not exceeded. This can avoid a DNO main fuse...
I have no understanding of whether this would make a difference or not, however out of interest have you been contacted with regard to this loose subframe bolt recall.
The advantage that those of us in Europe, who ordered the car over a year ago, that was apparently built in Dec 19 (although I only have the forum tracker for that information, nothing from Ford) is that as we have been told absolutely nothing, our cars are fortunately therefore not in delay.
You will also not be entitled to the government ev grant due to the additional cost of the AWD ER. The wheel option would not impact your eligibility.
The wheels are listed as an option like any other as Grahame says there is zero chance of doing a deal. Where do you live in the uk - fit winter...
It would be really helpful if any new owners who are happy with their hatch panel gap could post a photo of what can be expected and achieved with the gap consistency, and the gasket visibility.
I think any December car may be suspect. Mine was built 22 December. @ChasingCoral

Reading his posts on his trials and tribulations I admire the stoicism of @ChasingCoral. Unfortunately I am not cut from quite the same cloth and would by now have lost the plot.
I am beginning to have...
So unfortunately they've all gone dark now and the next time you'll get to activate them will be when you take delivery.
Even more unfortunate is that reading the LVB reports from our US friends who have received their cars, it seems highly probably that they will go dark after we receive...
I really like the rotary dial location on my Jaguar XK. Particularly with the similarly located start button. Admittedly I only ever looked at when reversing or parking not bothered by an L position.
I am sure you are absolutely correct in that the car was designed visually and aerodynamically first and foremost much as the model 3 and Y. Which I think accommodate the front plate even less successfully. On both Ford and Tesla I just wish it did not look quite so much as if the plate...
It does seem strange to me that for a primary US heritage brand the design of both the front and rear seems to visually accommodate the European style registration plate more successfully than the US. Clearly it works if no plate is required. Not so much with the square front plate.
I have not been reticent criticising Ford about aspects of the whole buying process. However I do think they have been hit by an avalanche of issues.
When the process started and with the euphoria of the launch I believe they fully expected the vast majority of the 50k years output to be...
