Ha, well you're probably spot-on about not holding out hope for "mankind", but I absolutely would continue to unplug after charging, just as I would want others to do if I was the next guy coming in. And sure, there will of course be times when there is not a "next guy" needing a charge, but...
I think you are basically right in the context of human nature, but in this case we should acknowledge that when we decide to own an EV it comes with certain responsibilities, such as basic etiquette at public charging stations. When we said "Yes" to EV ownership we became part of a shared...
Not all Ford dealers are "EV Certified" even though they can still sell you a Mach E. Check around for a Ford EV Certified dealer, I believe they will be the ones most prepared to tackle service on MME. My local dealer is.
My goodness . . . what do motorcycle riders do?? They would need a full face shield helmet, and even then the little window would be difficult to see out of after a few good bug hits, sounds dangerous!
I knew a guy who used to cook a full beef roast using his truck every time he took a trip to see his parents. I forget how long the dive was, but he said that if the roast was exactly [X pounds], when double-wrapped in foil and nestled in the exact spot he found on the engine block, the roast...
We, as humans, should never rely on such systems to do our work , especially under dangerous circumstances (such as driving a car which we all know can be deadly). I think relying on programmed systems can make us lazy and lull us into a false sense of safety. Like drones flying all around for...
Is this one of those tricky dealer mods we discover when we pick up our MME? "Hey, I didn't order tinted windows, nitrogen in tires, or chicken wings"!
I think for most folks the issue is that the supplied OE charging cable that comes with MEE is limited to 30 amps. If you install a 14-50 outlet off a 50 amp breaker, you would be capable of charging at 40 amps for a quicker charge . . . but would need a more robust charging cable than what...
Just seeing this . . . so wait, are you for real this time? My post was to be taken in jest, total hyperbole in the reaction, I of course was not triggered. Just having fun and playing along, as you were. Sorry you read it that way, but sorry more so that you appear to have revealed a...
Yep, me too, Thousand Oaks. We do not have our own water source so we have to purchase ALL of our water, and it was recently curtailed by our normal sellers, thus rationing.
What's wrong with you?! This is like going to the doctor after a diagnosis of a terrible disease, and the doctor excitedly tells you "Good news, they found a cure, you'll be 100% in no time", then says "Ha, Ha, not really, just trying to introduce a little levity". Shame on you!
Watching this thread . . . I just had an electrician install this same ChargePoint charger in my garage, also on a 50 amp circuit for 40 amp charging, waiting for my MME to be delivered in the next 3 weeks or so. ChargePoint Home Flex is a highly reviewed charger, I hope there won't be problems...
I read in a post yesterday someone saying that their dealer told them Ford is not presently funding Ford Options, so there is no incentive at the present time. Take it with a grain of salt, as this goes into the "My dealer said" bucket . . .
