Have you noticed an increase in range after insulating all those hoses and the battery?

Nope. Not at all. Haven’t noticed a change in anything. I’m sure there is but must be very minimal.

Hi Mark, I am a new owner of a 2025 Mach E GT with the performance package. I want to lower it and was wondering if you have had any issues with the height or ride. The front end is low as it is so just wondering how you like your ride after lowered. Everyone says I need to install the sway bars as well, which I will do.

I have not lowered my '24 GT but I did lower my '21 GTPE and had it that way for 3 years. It was just fine except you have to remember with it being about an inch lower, that you may not clear curbs or parking bumpers so you must be careful when parking. Also if you lower the car, do not get wider wheel/tires because they will rub against the fender moulding. These are the springs you need to get if you want to lower the car: https://eibach.com/product/E10-35-054-05-22

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Great, thank you so much! I do want to get wider tires so I may have to think about this. I want an aggressive look which is why I wanted it lowered with slightly wider tires. Hmmm, decisions.
Thanks again, Lol im sure I will have more questions for you😄!

Yes, it is not easy to have wider tires and and have it lowered at the same time in the Mach-E. Of course it all depends on how wide you want to go with the tires. The GT is 1/2" lower than the regular Mach-E to begin with and it has 245 series tires which are already wider than other Mach-E's. In the front, the widest tires you can go with is a 275/40 but you will have some rubbing against the inner fender liner with the wheels are turned to full lock. So on those best to stay with either 255 or 265's up front. On the rear, 295's are about the widest you can go but if you have 3 passengers in the back or two large ones and some cargo in the rear (luggage) with that width tire, the outer sidewall may contact the fender trim. That said, 275 or 285's would be a better choice and all of this is WITHOUT lowering the car. If you lower the car then you can't run any of these wider tires and will have to go a bit narrower. This is why on my '24 I have now, chose not to lower it like I did my '21 because I want to run wider tires. Bottom line is keep the height you have now and run tires 3-4 sizes wider than your OEM or lower the car and run tires 1-2 sizes wider than OEM.

And I've not done as much on this '24 as I had done on my previous '21's. 😳
Haha. I'll look them up, too. Of course, our car's currently a lease so there's not much I would replicate ... FOR NOW!

All my cars have been leases too. I usually can get someone so assume the lease but in the case of the '21 GTPE the three years was up and I traded it in for this car, the dealer just took it. No questions asked. All I did was remove the subwoofer and my custom carpeted floor mats.

Thank you so much for the info and knowledge!! I appreciate your help in this and will definitely consider your suggestions! I am definitely considered about the front end being too low since its already low as it is. I may just go the latter direction and just go with wider tires. Thank you again and Happy Thanksgiving!

I agree with you and just go with wider tires but here is something else you can do. While going with wider tires, you can also get taller tires. That will lessen the gap in the wheel well making it look like your car is lowered. This is what I did to my'24 because I decided not to lower it like I did my '21. Many people commented on my '24 how nice it looked lowered and told them just went with taller tires.

Great idea!! Yours definitely looks like you lowered it which is what I initially thought you did. I think I will just do that and add some sway bars to it. They are on sale now at Eibach so they are a little cheaper than normal .

One more question for you. Are you running a staggered setup or the same size on all fours?

Sway bars are one of the best mods you can do. When it gets time for you to get tires, let me know and we can talk about sizes.

Right now I'm running a square setup but in a couple of weeks, back to a staggered setup. Just waiting for my wheels.

That sounds good Mark!! Definitely when I'm ready I will talk with you first. I've had mostly staggered setups in my previous vehicles and I like the look of the staggered. Although it seems like you burn through tires more quickly, which at least was the case when I had my Tesla.

No, I don't burn through tires. I test tires and then sell them off. I generally don't have any one set of tires for more than 6 months and most times less. Like the set I have now will be getting rid of in a few weeks. They are an odd size since they are 21's. Michelin Pilot Sport EV 275/40R21. I have a set of wheels 20x9.5 ET 34 and winter tires on them Michelin Alpin PA4 N-Spec 275/40R20 and even a second set of tires, Michelin Alpin 5's that I need to get rid of. Again, we will talk about all of this whey you are ready to change.
