You should be good, I looked into a lot of Volvo wheels and they seem to have the same bolt pattern, center bore and offset ranges as the Ford wheels. Jaguar wheels (I Pace, F Pace and E Pace) are also good fits, and some Range Rover, particularly the Evoque appear to be the same.

I took a look at a wheel size calculator and I think the one you listed would work just fine - it is minimally closer to the suspension, and sticks out about 17mm more than stock, but you are within the ranges others are seeing as easily compatible.

The wheel is a bit wide for 225 width tires - are you planning on going up to 235 or 245 width tires at the same time?

A few thoughts:
  • You'll need TPMS sensors - I ordered the kind on TireRack recommended for the MachE (along with my tires), and they paired up with no problem.
  • It is possible that your current lug nuts won't fit (though they probably will). When you get the wheels, do a quick test fit to make sure the lugs drop down into the holes, and that the taper on the lug matches the taper in the wheel. The stock were just fine on my Jaguar wheels.
  • A lot of wheel sellers use ebay - shop around, and don't hesitate to make offers if they accept them. Also, try this tip - add wheelsets you are interested in to your Watchlist and wait a few days - eBay has a new feature that lets sellers make an offer to anyone who has the item in their wishlist, even if the listing doesn't officially accept offers. Saved $200 on my wheelset that way.

Awesome! That's what I was looking for, but wanted to confirm that this is enough.

Yes. I specifically want a set of wider tires for non-winter use to gain better handling. I'll switch back to 225s for the winter to gain back some range and perform better in snow.

Great tips! Thanks!

Finally got my setup.

They ended up being 2019 Volvo XC90 wheels (19x8”), purchased used. same bolt pattern as Mach-e. I sanded out the road rash, painted them black chrome, and put 3 layers of 2K clear coat on them.

Continental DWS06 245/50/19.

So far, this mating is awesome! The ride is definitely sturdier with the 245s over the stock 225s. 100 miles is definiltely not enough to know for sure yet, but it does not appear that I have had any appreciable range decrease.

Nice! Looks good, and thanks for confirming the fit. People were bummed that these cars don’t fit the Mustang coupe wheels, but fitting Volvo, Range Rover, and Jaguar wheels gives us a lot of good looking low cost options for 2nd sets of wheels.

The installer said it was a tight fit, and recommended I add a 1/4 inch spacer, but it appears to be utterly problem free without one.

These XC90 rims have a 42.5mmm offset.

The “real” mustangs use a very common 5x114.3 bolt pattern making wheels plentiful and relatively inexpensive. Mach E uses the Edge/Focus/Fusion pattern. These painted Volvo wheels look good. The main problem with OEM takeoffs is they are usually very heavy compared to aftermarket choices. Of course the upside is there isn’t much of a market for used OEM wheels so they tend to be inexpensive. ?

I am casually looking for some 18” takeoffs for some more sporty tires.
