I have a job1 2023 that I very recently purchased (on 6/1/24.) It was delivered to me with 4.2.4, and it got 5.1.1 on 6/6 (8 days ago), but it's still woefully behind.
I'm not ready to complain to my dealer about things, but I do wish Ford made the dealerships update the car's firmware when they've been sitting on the lot for 6-12 months.
If I really want the firmware updated for some reason, I'll just browse through the TSB's and find one to complain about. Quite a few of them don't seem to require the dealership to repeat the problem, but do have dependencies requiring updating of several modules. If that doesn't work, I'll try to find someone around my area with a mongoose and a decent 12VDC power supply.
Edit: An additional comment: Be careful trying to get dealerships to update firmware. If you convince them to do so, they'll likely only update the minimum required to satisfy a TSB (or whatever) and that might leave you with more problems than you started with.
