I purchased a 2023 Extended Range Premium and was told it would qualify for the full $7500 tax credit. Now I am looking on the IRS site and it appears as though the 2023 is not listed at all, only the Escape and the SR & ER Lightning.

What gives? Anyone know what is correct here?

Thanks

It matters when the car was put into service it, not the model year. Before 4/17/23 the tax credit was $7500 (it changed several times at the beginning of 2023, but this was essentially the case). Afterwards in 2023 it was $3750. In 2024 the Mach-E does not qualify.

Unfortunately, this is a case of you, the buyer, not possessing the knowledge, and the dealership (assuming that's who "was told" is) telling you incorrect information. Don't depend on others for your tax advice.

The ONLY WAY to get a tax credit on a Mach-E in 2024 is to lease it. Tax credit goes to Ford, and they pass it on via the lease. You do nothing but accept the $7,500 discount in the numbers.
