Folks --
My lease was nearly up on my 2021 Job 2, so I decided to trade in for a new lease on a 2024 Premium 4X. I like it even more than my old one. However I've had a couple of odd things happen -- any thoughts or similar experiences are welcome.
1) Driving on an expressway with BC on and operational in hands-free mode, it all of a sudden dropped out with a message of "resume control" and the car decelerated for a second and then accelerated for a second, and then repeated it again. Then it went back to normal. Dealer did not see any codes thrown from that, and the rest of the trip was uneventful.
2) Plugged the car in at home to charge (for the first time) and 10 minutes later got a message on FordPass of a charger fault. Went out to the car, unplugged the cable (level 2 ChargePoint flex), got in the car and turned it on -- immediately got a Stop Safely message and it stayed in accessory mode. the icon of the red battery had another icon beside it of a car with an Exclamation mark over it. Couldnt get it out of park or turn it on all the way. I could turn it off however. I waited a few minutes and tryed to start the car again, and it started without any issue. Took a chance to drive it to the dealer (less than 10 minutes away), and they found the following Codes posted:
P1A1E : 66 : 28 Hybrid/EV Battery Contactor Signal
and
P1A10 : 00 : 25 Hybrid Powertrain Control Module - Battery Disabled
I've left it at the dealer for diagnosis / repair.
Any thoughts or ideas from the crowd as to what is happening?
Thanks,
Roger
