2024 Mach e select check brake system issue and high pitch sound from engine

New car with only ~1000 miles. First drove off the road in December made in June.

Got check brake system error that won’t go away.

While I was in I also pointed out two other issues: wind sound at 60miles and high pitch sound form engine at 30miles.

I am told I likely have a brake fluid sensor issue (they will try to do a brake fluid flush and reset first though before changing sensor), they will be replacing front drive motor for the high pitch sound, and add foam to side mirror base (why that causes wind sound is a bit of a mystery to me but okay).

I can’t say I am very impressed so far with the build quality. ?

Sometimes crap happens. Yes that would annoy me. Assuming your dealer is taking care of the issue be assured. I am pretty confident on Ford. My 2013 Ford Escape despite some initial issues which Ford took care of is 156000 miles strong and running strong !

My 23 Select also has a high pitch whine noise at 30-35mph but I thought that was just the way it was…..Wind noise is also pretty bad once I hit 40, but I’m not sure the foam has made any difference for others in this forum.

I wasn’t entirely sure if the high pitch sound is an issue either, but since I was in the shop already I figured I would tell them since I was already in there for more serious issue and that sound was annoying me.

The wind sound is pretty bad. Way worse than most EV I had been in, I really hope they can fix it.

FYI new motor is probably going to have the same whine at 30 MpH. That’s a normal characteristic.

Minimal set of issues on the Mach E.
The orders never saw the inside of a shop other than oil changes.
A lot of them were in the family for more than 5 years. 2011 GT for 11 years.

I am back to give an update.

Took the dealership about 2.5 weeks to fix everything.

For brake issue they flushed the brake fluids and then a software update (note my auto update so not sure what update this is).

For wind sound at 60m - they added foam near the mirrors apparently this is a known issue for some 2024. This made the ride much quieter though I still hear some wind sound it’s much less now.

For the high pitch whine at 30m. They changed the front drive motor. It didn’t completely go away but it’s way quieter now than it was originally (tone is a lot less grating than before).

Over all, happy with the fixes.
