I was exploring my MME, andcouldn't find the negative terminal for the emergency frunk release. I did have the positive.
Not wanting to just blindly yank on wires, I figured I'd pull the furnk tub out. After pulling the 3 trim surrounds, I proceeded to remove the 6 star bolts.
One of them hwas really tough, (the one down in the tub near the pass. side drain. As I was backing it out, I heard a distinct plactic pop. I knew that sound, it was a nut welded to a plastic assembly. After all the other tries (lever, tighten/loosen again) I knew I had to drill the head off.
I have since found the negative cable and reassembled the frunk (less the offending bolt, although the threaded portion is still attached to the bracket outlined in red below )
Just a heads up for other owners. Here's a few pics of the bracket. Could not find anything online (Tasca, Web, etc. on this), and not sure if this is the same for the older frunks.
