I have been charging my GTPE on a Phase 2 plug in my unit complex since I first took it home- now suddenly, when I plug in, it will click on as though all is OK for about 2 seconds, and then I get the "Charging Error" alert, and charging has stopped.
I thought at first it may have been the charging unit, but no one else has had issue- and I tried it on a similar unit at a hotel with the same result.
Phase 3 fast charge still works, thankfully- but this is a whole lot more expensive (in service stations), and from what I understand, detrimental to the battery over time.
I will get the local dealer here to investigate- but has anyone else experienced this?

I assume that by “Phase 2” you actually mean L2 charging, 🤔🐩

Since L2 is AC and L3 is DC charging they use almost entirely different systems to provide power to the battery pack, so it is not surprising that one worked while the other failed. There have been people who have reported similar symptoms to yours. Without the Diagnostic Test Codes that your car has recorded, none of us will be able to help with a possible source of the issue. If you can pull the codes, someone can probably tell you what the issue is. 😊🐩

There is an issue with that however. Even knowing what the issue is, you will need the skills to correct it. If your car is under warranty, you are much better off in taking it to your dealer for diagnosis and repair. 🤔🐩

Thank you. Yes, L2 charging- Aussie lingo.
Dealer has looked up codes remotely and nothing popped up, so I guess now I just have to wait and hope whatever the issue is, its not a big one.

I had a case where my car stopped charging on my L2 at home (and the L1 I received when I bought our 2023). Took it to get fixed. Their initial review of the error codes had them wanting to fault the charger. Eventually, they determined some of the wires were corroded. Had to order the part and wait for the install. Had the red circle in the charging port and the charging error inside. The log for the L2 showed multiple attempts to start a charge every few minutes, after midnight until I unplugged it the following day.

I had this happen on my 2023 GT. L3 worked, but L2 did not. The dealer had to replace the charging port under warranty.

So far, its been discovered that the car will charge L2 IF the rate of charge stays above 50kwh...
Previous charge data shows the home setup to be at a rate between 15-20kwh..
As to why its no longer accepting this rate, is still a mystery.

In the meantime, I am in a loan car and missing my personal rocket very much.
