I must have missed this. What exactly is different about the 2024 GT that allows it to have more power and no 5 second throttle limit? Is the HVBJB different?

As far as we know, the 2024 GT uses the same HVBJB that was released in November of 2023 (LK9Z-10C666-C). The bus bars are apparently beefier (reducing the amount of heat build-up and being more capable of sinking away heat from attached components). And, of course they have the new rear motor and accompany electricals and electronics. ??

BTW, have you had any HVBJB failure up there?
Never did. Had it changed out in March. I do not want to jinx myself but I have had no issues with my GT. I am planning on getting a 26MY but that will depend on many things. I mostly like that the heater size has been increased! Personally could care less about many of the other bells and whistles especially BC.

Everyone talks about the bus bars for years relating to the power limits.

But has anyone here ever damaged a bus bar??

And even if they do. It’s a $50 part. Big whoop- https://parts.lakelandford.com/p/Fo...3/LJ9Z14A033A.html?clickSource=relatedProduct

Hell, if stronger bus bars is all that’s needed for a longer power limit, I’ll pay the $50 for the 2024 ones and then sign me up for extended power!

I suppose we will eventually find out if the heat sinking improvements with the generation C contactor is enough to get the job done. Guess I will just make popcorn and watch. I would love to upgrade to the latest mme gt, but ending up in the 'same boat' after the cash drop would be a bummer.

It’s got nothing to do with damaging the bus bars. It’s got everything to do with the generation of heat and the ability to carry it away. ??

I would pay for a retrofit kit that includes all of the 2024 GT changes (electronics, electricals, bus bars, HVBJB, modules). So far, radio silence from @Ford Motor Company on that front. Looks like I need to order a ‘26 when my Options plan is about up, then mode my wheels and tires over to the new car (if the dealer will let me). ?‍♂?

Or just go with a company that doesn't hide facts about the performance limitations of a vehicle and doesn't offer any follow-up or choices other than buying another car. I hate Elon Musk- but the model Y is superior in every way, especially with a new model coming out.

Except the Model Y is missing an IPC, has horrible seats, has fit and finish that makes my ‘72 Blazer look like a trailer queen, and is just plain ugly. ?‍♂?

Superior in what ways? It charges faster?

The Mach E GT performs better (handling, braking and now also acceleration). Looks better, drives better, gets better reliability rankings, has more features, better fit and finish, gets more range (independent multiple tests)……

Curious what measuring stick you are using to measure superiority. ?‍♂

Now if we are talking Tesla vs Ford….. that’s hilarious. Your great leader doesn’t “hide facts,” instead he just outright lies when it comes to every time frame he puts out.

Hell, even the Tesla website is completely dishonest with their advertised pricing **includes $6,000 worth of hypothetical fuel savings.

If honesty is your measuring stick you should look elsewhere. ?
