I made a mistake and told my wife that fueling this car would be cheaper than our previous ice that got almost 40 mpg. The price of gas was then almost $4 and it is now about $3.30, so now fueling our mme at many DCFC stations cost more than it would cost to fuel our previous car. For that reason we keep an eye on the rising DCFC prices. I have fortunately been able to find stations that work fine at much lower prices than Tesla or ea. I just do a little more homework. I suspect that prices will climb rapidly if people have no concerns about how much they pay and select the highest priced electricity when other lower priced DCFC in the area works just fine. Maybe some people wouldn't mind paying $1.50/kw but my wife would remind me that it makes more economic sense to stay near home until we went back to ice.
Jeff, I couldn't find any Tesla prices on plugshare where I recently traveled to and I didn't understand from your answer if they are listed where you traveled to or did you look at the Tesla app?

Just got my A2Z Tesla Supercharger to Ford Mach E adapter……drove 50 km to try out at Whitewood Co-Op , only 3 of 5 chargers active. Adapter did not work in any of them. It seems the Tesla cord end and the matching A2Z adapter do not engage enough for the bottom latch to lock using the slide switch . Anyone else experience this? Really pissed at this point since I researched this to death and god only knows when Ford will deliver on their free adapter offer
I had the same problem, no joy on my first use either.

In another thread i posted my little dance. The answer was not to apply more force on insertion, it was to make SURE the slide is full open right before jamming, and make SURE the slide is full locked after jamming Rotating the adapter slide up helps. As does a bit of paint pen to remember which way the slide goes.

I would also use something thin (pen? Small stick? Knife?) and make sure that when the slide is unlocked, the internal tab moves freely when the slide is unlocked. If the tab doesn't move when slide at unlocked you may have to return

As a large 6 foot male with ok upper body strength, i am unable to seat the adapter with hands except on some cables. I use the conveniently located rubber object, aka tire, and place the adapter just so before jamming by leaning into it. This has to be done with only the jplug part on the tire not the ccs extension. There is a noticable click, and does get better after a few inserts. Me leaning into something full strength is well over 100 lbs of force and an adapter should not require so much force but here we are

I also sprayed some nonconductive dry lube on the slide, and carefully applied some at the nacs insertion point. In Retrospect, i probably wouldn't have applied any lube into the nacs connector. Making sure the slide fully actuates, though, doesn't seem so bad.

I was also disappointed that this is so hard. But a successful charge turned some of that frown upside down...

Good luck
