AC Air compressor wiring harness melted

Has anybody had their AC air compressor go out because the wiring harness melted into the air compressor? Seems really ridiculous that the wiring harness would melt. My vehicle is two months out of warranty. 2021 Mustang Mach E. Dealer saying it’s $4000 to replace it. @ ford motor company. How does that happen with only 22k miles? I’ve been a big fan of ford for decades but this is really turning me off.

That's a lousy scenario.

These modern technology laiden vehicles are daunting out of warranty. That one job alone would pay for the highest-mileage/longest-term Ford ESP coverage available. Almost twice!

Certainly has me considering if I still have it at 11 months and 29 days.

Haven't heard of that one before.

I would argue the A/C compressor is part of the 8yr/100k warranty since it's function it important to prevent the battery pack from overheating.

I would argue the same thing.
Don't fix it and watch the battery faults come flowing in.

That harness should not melt.
If your dealer can't find a way to replace under warranty, then try another dealer. Good luck. Sorry this happened to your car.
