I used my AC for the first time since buying my MME and now it’s on every time I start the car even when I turn it off before turning car off.
I’ve dug through settings and cannot find anything to address this.
Any ideas?
Thanks

It will do that if your climate is on auto.
But, does it really bother you that much?

Do a search on the forum, lots of threads on this subject and e-heat

Yea it does bother me and I’m NOT on auto
Just because the "light" indicates the AC is active doesn't mean it's actually running. Are you feeling cold air coming out the vents?

I have the same issue regardless of whether the system is in auto or manual mode. I can hear the compressor running even when no dew is present and the weather is cool. The way it operates must have changed with one of the software updates. I used to be able to shut it off, and it would remain off.

That’s what I thought but when I check, I never can tell if an update has occurred or not. So it’s not me? Thanks!

So, at what temperature is the thermostat set and what is the temperature out? Is the car just doing as it was last instructed?

I’ll have pay closer attention but I’m pretty sure the thermostat is at 65 and it does it (AC on when starts) at both temperatures below and above that set point.

In San Jose we seldom need either air conditioning or heating, and we don't like the fans going either. To really turn these off you have to do in in the below screen.

Also, I have found that some of the settings like the mirror positions will reset themselves on power up if you don't hold down the 1 or 2 button (depending on which you are using) on the driver's door until it beeps after making a settings change. So, that might be the problem too.

I’m just up the 101 from you. I’ve checked and the climate control on/off is off and I’ve also re-programmed the settings with everything off thinking maybe that was it but it still will be on when I start car every morning (when it’s in the 50s out) and after car has sat for a little time.

My only other thought would be if you have "Departure Times" on in the Ford App.

Nope or at least not that I intentionally set. I’ll check. Thank you!

Another thing to check: do you have a profile set for the car? If so, have you verified that the correct profile is selected when you start the car? (I used to regularly have an issue where it would select my wife's profile even when she was nowhere near the car. And since she's about 13 inches shorter than me, things would get squishy very fast!?)

And to ChrisO's point, to have the car program a new setting into the profile, the easiest thing to do is to make the setting (e.g., turn off AC) and then press and hold the button on the door that corresponds to your profile until it beeps. That will memorize the setting.
