Activating Ford Pass App While Car Still in Mexico?

My car is FINALLY built after ordering it 12/07/2021 and, having input the VIN into my Ford Pass app, it now gives me the option to "Activate Vehicle."

Sounds like some people have clicked "Activate" and have watched their car's journey to their dealer. However, I'm worried that in doing so, I'd begin my Blue Cruise trial and lose out on a good month or so of the service.

Does anyone have an official answer on whether this does in fact activate BC or not? I'd suspect it would not since anyone could have input the VIN into their app. Hell, I suppose I could "Activate" it and not go through with the purchase. I doubt Ford would screw the eventual owner out of their BC trial.

I NEED to activate it? Absolutely not. I just think it'd be fun to track it as it makes it way north to KC and then west to CA.

You can try but it won't let you do it. They fixed the system it so you can't activate before it's been delivered to the dealer. You could in the past but no more.

Im saving my Blue Cruise as well. Took Delivery Feb 2021 and Ford is helping me not to waste it by not giving me the option just Yet!?

You’d most likely have to delete and reset anything you tried to preset anyway. Save your time.

Seems like it works for some people but not others. I got the message that it couldn’t be activated before delivery when I tried.
