That is one chintzy-ass decontent. Maybe on the 2026's, the 4th wheel will be optional ?‍♂ .

I think this was decontented. I don't have 4-way headrests on my 2024 premium. Also lost the kick to open (which I really miss).

I got my 2025 premium last month and the headrest is driving me nuts. It's way too far forward for me and it's not adjustable, forward/back. It's only able to go up and down. Right now I have it as high up as it will go even though I'm only 5'2" because the tilt is so far forward!
Is this something I can adjust somehow otherwise or just buy a different headrest somewhere?
I don't know if this one adjusts or not, but you might be looking at junkyards for headrests or aftermarket options:

(Also, I did a snap search, so don't quote me on that part - verify)

Don't think if it as decontenting. Think of it as Ford bringing the Premium up to the level of the GT in this area. ?‍♂?

I also heard it was a decontended for the 2024+ MY. Not a good look for Ford.

Just had a thought; what if you order a '21-'23 Premium headrest? It should be a different part # with the adjustments, right?

The 4-way adjustable headrest for premiums was decontented, in late MY23, I believe. Apparently, Ford telemetry told them that owners weren’t using the feature ?

Do NOT give ford any ideas. They’ve already decontented (well, moved to optional) the “tire inflator kit”

That's a good idea. I'll have to order a replacement part from a different year.

I'm reading that it's safer in an accident to have it all the way forward, but I don't care. I don't want to develop neck issues from sitting that way for hours every week.

This might be the first and only car that I’m glad I got the first model year because every subsequent year has gotten less.

Joke is on Ford though - I’ve decontented Ford from the list for my next car

Not to be the "have you tried shutting the item off and then back on guy " BUT ....have you tried reclining the seat and then moving it up closer so you can still reach the wheel OR pulling the steering wheel closer OR a combination of the 2? ... 3?
I know Im just some good looking  random guy on a forum BUT I wouldn't ride without one . They're there to keep our heads from ending up in the back seat if we get in an accident

If you've never had it, you don't know what you're missing! I'm already used to using my fob on my previous cars and that has carried over with the Mach-E. Thought I'd get used to living without the fob but PaaK is annoyingly unreliable for me.

Yeah so I'm trying to upload pictures but for some reason the forum won't upload them correctly.
Anyway, trust me when I say they are far forward and totally lame.
Any fixes? Can I replace them with something else? Pretty lame because I paid extra for the sport appearance package with the red stitching.

I did try taking out the headrest, turning it backwards, and putting it back in. That's a little bit toooo far back, but I guess it works on long road trips when you need to stretch your neck.
My daughter’s escape has the same nonadjustible headrest. Turning it backwards wasn’t great but was way more comfortable. The adjustable one on my 22 is fantastic. Works great, easy to adjust. I think they made a big mistake dropping it.

I believe the kick to open feature was lost beginning on the 2022 model. I missed out on that feature (2002 Premium edition). :frown:
