Aftermarket Power Liftgate Install.

If you are considering installing an aftermarket power liftgate take heed. It is not for the faint of heart. The instructions are minimal and the wire routing is torture. And to add to the suffering ? I installed the hands free module as well. You might want to hire an installer. But I will say The tech support from EV-Vida was the best I've ever had.

I agree about EV-Vida. I used my bodyshop to make initial wiring and installation, but kick opener did not work. I was lucky to meet Simon in SoCal and he found my folks mistake and right now I enjoy liftgate with kick opener on my CR1

Simon went out of his way to help me. But he couldn't save me from operator error. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the dash near the OBD port only to discover there wasn't the room behind the hole that I had assumed. The open close switch wouldn't fit. I'm now looking for a suitable colored solid grommet to fill the mistake hole. ?

BTW, I found instructions from Autoease that to open the tailgate hands free you move you foot rear to front rather than left to right. Using that method it works every time.

surprisingly I do not use this feature often, but my neighbors should be thankful every time I'm leaving early that I installed automatic liftgate
