The issue comes and goes, but today it was totally unbearable. While listening to music the audio will pause for a moment then continue. Really jarring to be singing along to a song when the beat isn't consistent.
It's normally not too bad but today it was absolutely abysmal to the point where I just had to stop listening through android auto and switch to bluetooth audio which played without a hitch. I tried restarting my phone, and restarting sync with the steering wheel buttons, but the issue persisted until I switched to bluetooth.
Could it possibly be related to an OTA download/install happening in the background? Right after I pulled into work I got a notification that powerup had upgraded to 4.2.2. I know AA uses wifi to connect to the phone, but it would be a different radio that's downloading the update, right?
