Android auto will randomly disconnect and then reconnect 10 seconds later. Sometimes it will only happen once on my commute, other times it will happen 4-5 times during the same commute. Have tried resetting everything related to it on the car and the phone multiple times. Phone doesn't connect to any random WiFi signals. Love the car but android auto is killing me. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: happens with wired and wireless

My car is getting weird too. Even Bluetooth won't connect automatically. I almost always need to select my phone manually from the list. If I even have a list that is.....sometimes even the list of paired phones is missing. Usually comes back on the next key cycle though.

Sync is really bad right now for some reason. Even the navigation is doing weird stuff. Was perfect for 58k miles and now is starting to go crazy.

I'm getting similar disconnects (wireless connection fails) throughout the day. Never had it happen before until I brought my car to dealer to get updates installed (they had not installed OTA in months). They got my car up to date (I think) and now have BlueCruise. Job 1 car. Took delivery May 2021. Frustrating... :^(

Thank you for your concern but my warranty has long expired. I have a similar issue with the Front Camera Fault and Pre-Collision Assist Unavailable messages. Your team contacted me with a case number but I would still have to pay for the diagnostics and repairs myself.

To be clear.....I am not complaining. Ford has stood behind this car and honored the 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty as promised. I even had a leaking seal in the front motor and that was covered free of charge under the 8 yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. ?

This issue started for me a few days ago, it has never done this up to this point. Maybe the last OTA? Or possibly Android Auto update? I do not have issues with Bluetooth, it will connect after I select Bluetooth audio.

Mine is also behaving weird after my dealer brought the software up to date. Android Auto randomly disconnects, but what is even worse is that even when it is connected, it misbehaves. I am no longer able to use voice commands for anything (e.g., call, text). Every time I say, 'Hey Google...', Android Auto starts playing music and the voice prompt indicator at the bottom of the screen that usually indicates it is listening is just completely frozen. The only way I can get the voice prompt indicator to go away is to actually disconnect the phone and re-connect. 'Hey Google' works fine on phone when not in car. Whatever the last software updates did, now Android Auto is completely broken for me.

I am having this problem as well - phone especially largely unreliable, need to switch to bluetooth before placing a call.
