Anyone purchased through driveway.com???

Buddy of mine bought a used Jeep Wranger Rubicon while wine tasting from his phone via driveway.com. Everything showed up as described, he was happy, no dealership to deal with etc. He's been really happy from the whole experience, and was telling me to try it with the MME.

I was at first super leary that I wouldn't get the tax credit because I thought they only sold used vehicles, but found that is not the case. I looked and there are listings for MME's selling at MSRP (allegedly) and I was curious if anyone else had any experience with the site?

All of the new MMEs I see listed say that they're "Coming Soon". Checking one of the VINs shows that it's on order or in transit to a dealer in PA. Not really sure what's going on here, but Driveway may just be brokering for some dealers. Whether or not they ever arrive in stock and really end up selling for MSRP is the real question.

I guess you could call Driveway and ask, but I don't see why any dealer would sell through Driveway at MSRP.

Wow, I thought the same (only used cars) but they do list "hot off the assembly line". Based on that, I would think the $7,500 applies.

Yeah, when my buddy was telling me about it and I started looking into it, I was surprised.

I just purchased my CR1 MME through Driveway but it was used. I tried to buy new, and each time I had the same experience where the vehicle wasn't available. Once I gave in and decided to buy used, I had a great experience with Driveway! They offered me an insane amount for my used 2012 Prius-c that more than made up for the loss in tax credit. That's why I went with them.

Yikes, that is against Ford's policy. Brokering is prohibited. That dealer is at risk at losing their incentives, sales history, and allocations for doing that. They could also lose their dealership agreement so they would cease being a Ford dealer.

Driveway is just Lithia group which is large collection of dealers. I tried to buy new back in the fall from them but none were actually available and some had markup.
