Apple Maps Integration - Distance to Destination

Saw this I think with the 6.14 release. Could be also with the latest iOS (I’m on 17.4). When you use Apple Maps navigation, in addition to the turn by turn directions on the IPC, there is now the distance to destination under the GOM. It used to only show with the built in navigation (and sometimes buggy where it would do random destinations automatically at times).

I’m still on iOS 16 something and this popped up for me today with 6.14 update (loaded Monday).

Using Waze this just stays at zero. With Google Maps it works. You'd think Google could help out Waze, since they own it. ?

The software management at ford is truly a mystery. Not sure how this just started working for me, especially since I keep my Apple devices updated and my MME gets updated not much after EA.

Regardless, a welcome addition. Came in handy today on a road trip (before I would turn off battery level integration with Apple Maps so I could see miles to destination and GOM to compare).

Really cool, haven’t seen it yet on my screen yet, but looking forward to it! Should relieve some of the so called “range anxiety” others might experience on longer drives.
