Wondering if anyone has had this issue and is aware of how to fix it. I was recently away for 3 weeks and my Mach-E went into a deep sleep. When we returned and I restarted it the screen remained super dark (granted it was parked in my garage so I wasn't surprised). When I backed out into daylight the auto adjustment to the white/light setting didn't occur.

It has been a week and as of now the local Ford dealership wasn't aware of how to fix it, I tried resetting Sync (the volume down/skip right buttons) and the brightness switch next to the headlights. At this point nothing has worked and it's getting pretty frustrating trying to drive during the day and not being able to see anything on my screen as it's super dark and subdued.

If anyone has experienced this and has any troubleshooting tips that would be great - appreciate the help.

You tried manually turning the headlights on and off right?

I'd think about trying a 12V reset. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for 10 min to reboot everything.

As it turns out none of that worked either. Ended having to replace the daylight sensor that somehow malfunctioned after the hard shut down. Two months of going in and out of the shop though…they even replaced the screen thinking that was the issue.

You're talking about the pyramid sensor between the defrost grilles below the windshield? Odd, haven't heard of that failing before.

Nor had I, but thankfully it’s finally fixed and back to normal.

Check to make sure you’re not in dark mode in the display settings.

Hey Lee Im having same issue on my new GT. Turning off lights showed me that the screen can get brighter but it didn't stay that way .Tried the Sync reset , nothing blocking sensor , slider does not work past 50%.
Im talking about the climate controls section on the screen .Headlight switch by leg works on all screens EXCEPT the bottom climate controls section.
Any ideas with this new information ?

For mine to get fixed I had to replace the sensor then everything was fine. For whatever reason the sensor faulted when it went into stasis as we had left on vacation.

Was it the WHOLE screen ? Either center or drivers ? Mine is confined to the climate controls part of the center/iPad screen .Slider in brightness menu doesn't go over 50%.

Yeah mine was the entire screen, but it was doing the same thing. Slider wouldn’t move past the 50%, wouldn’t auto adjust. They replaced the screen first which was never the issue - then finally the sensor.
