Hi everybody,
long time reader of this forum, I finally have a question.

I have a 2023 Premium Extended RWD since July 2023, and since a few weeks, the automatic Headlight is problematic.
It's enabling full lights much too often when it should not.
For exemple, I'm following a car and it's turning on. Or I have a car 50meters in front, coming at me, and suddenly it's putting the full lights ON.

Has anybody else got this problem?
I need to turn off automatic headlights every time I get in the car now, or I put full lights ON and then OFF at the wheel, to turn off automatic.

FYI, My front screen is clean, and no fog at those moments

Have a nice day

Are you talking about the High Beams? I turned them off on day one because I’ve never been in a vehicle that they work properly in. Plus, I guess I’m a control freak and want to turn the brights on when I choose.

I did see another thread about this recently on here and other people were saying the same thing.

Yes, sorry, I meant the High beams. The truth is it was working quite Ok before (or maybe since it was night later, I could have not noticed that much.

It's funny that the other thread is also from today.

I believe the top camera (windshield) determines when the high beams activate. If you noticed a recent change in how they work, the first thing to check is all your cameras are clear, although I think it would throw an error if they weren't. Might also be a software update, I'm stuck on 6.7 and mine still work as well as when I bought the car (no change for me).

I think the sensors for that are in the rear view mirror but not positive.

I have a 2023.0 with 6.3.0 update and High beams works like a charm, I generally see the auto-high beams being very responsive

I had few encounter flash from the opposite side but not because of the high beams (they were low) I think it is mostly due to the height difference between cars and/or elevation/angle or the road, it happens a few times, but not specific to the MME

Maybe the FitcamX is obstructing the top sensor/camera
Try to remove it, and test high beam for a few days to see ....

I feel really Stupid!

My dealer didn't explain this to me when I took delivery, but I, in fact, have the Glare Free High Beams. Which means it's only turning off a small square light where the opposite cars are situated.

I searched for this online before, and I didn't find any news, so I really didn't think I had this. But after testing it myself, and letting it work alone (it's confusing at first), it's really working good.
It's called Matrix Led in France.
