Bad HV battery being replaced

Got news about a month ago that I needed a new HV battery. I've got a 22 MME AWD ER. After a recent software update I got the SVS message and turtle mode. Wondering how many others have had the battery needing replacement and the average time to replace and any issues after the replacement. The diagnosis was about a month ago, however the battery that the dealership received was a standard range battery so it had to be sent back. It will probably be another 2 weeks to a month before the correct battery comes in and I get her back. Ford dealership has been good about a rental and paying for gas while this ordeal has been going on.

Had HVB failure in brand new MME RWD ER. This was back in 2021. The dealer learned how to drop the battery by practicing on my vehicle. Turns out the ER battery has 10 separate packs. Each was tested and only two of the ten were faulty. It took nine weeks to repair, but had excellent dealer and rental car whenever I needed one. Good luck.

Wow, a whole sled replacement is interesting. I am guessing it had enough bad cells it didn’t make sense to just replace a few, or not able to due to the condition of the pack overall.

Sorry to hear, not a common thing especially later model years but I’ve heard a few LFP modules needing replaced right from factory.

While waiting for parts for the HVJB recall, the car bricked in my garage. On a Level 1 charge at the time, hadn't fast charged in a week when it happened. No issues before it bricked. The service guy said it had 50 error codes with the battery, other than that not much of an explanation of why the main battery was replaced. Also got the new HVJB and new 12V battery. Invoice said the battery cost $30K, under warranty, of course, 29,000 miles.
