I just picked up my 2023 Mach e premium extended range awd and I’m loving it. But I am concerned because 2 times the battery has dropped considerably out of nowhere. The first time it happened my battery was at 68% when I pulled into my church. Less than 2 hours later I get in my Mach e to go home and upon starting it up the percentage was at 57%. Then just today I visited some family. I was at 49% when I got to my families home, stayed for 4 hours, and when I got in my car I was at 37%.
Some background info: it was 68 degrees today and sunny.

I understand that the mile prediction can jump up and down because the GOM is unreliable. I am not referring to that. I am specifically referring to the percentage dropping out of nowhere. This is my first EV, but my understanding is the battery percentage is an actual reflection of the kWh actually remaining in the physical battery. If this is the case, I am actually concerned if something is wrong with my battery since I’ve only had the car 2 weeks. Can someone explain? Thanks!

Charge it to 100% and let it sit overnight fully charged. That should help the BMS establish the % more accurately.

If the % charge is still unstable after that, you should bring it to a dealer.

Did you figure out your issue? Mine is acting similar. 49% to 33% after sitting a few hours, and 100% to 88% unplugged in my garage overnight.
