I’m in the Snohomish County area (Mill Creek) and thinking of a fun drive. No Leavenworth or overly touristy area. Maybe Oak Harbour via Anacortis? Did Chuckanut a few weeks ago. Maybe ocean shores. Maybe for for just a day trip.
Suggestion?

The drive from south Whidbey north through Anacortes and east to I5 and back south again is a beautiful drive in the nice weather! Take either the ferry to start in Clinton from Mukilteo or end in Clinton and ride back!

It does sound nice but I avoid ferries especially the weekends

I spend a long weekend in Tucson and loved the Sugugaro national park
It's a nice place, but I'd rather be back on Bainbridge

Bucket list. Mt. Vernon, Anacortes and hit the Shrimp Shack for lunch, Deception Pass, down to Clinton and catch the ferry..

It’s tough this time of year. I would go with catching the ferry from Edmonds to go to Port Angles. But hurricane ridge is probably closed already. That would have been a good detour.

I’m heading to North Shore drive this weekend for some off-roading in 4x4s

It was closed today because of a frozen water pipe. ?‍♂

But it might reopen tomorrow.

I was thinking Port Townsend prior to the "no ferry" comment, but Chuckanut Drive or Deception Pass are great ideas.

As pretty as it was today, it was FRIGID this evening when we walked home from dinner in Bothell, bring emergency blankets...

No real input here on your trip, but seeing Whidbey Island mentioned reminded me of my time spent there in the Navy a lifetime ago. I spent a lot of time in Oak Harbor, and maybe too much time in some of the less finer establishments but still in all, great memories. Enjoy your ride wherever it may take you.
