Blue Cruise update problems

I have a First Edition MachE from Feb 2021. They are just trying for a Blue Cruise update that is not working. Dealer has had car for 6 days now and their lead foreman is working with Ford Engineering at corporate, but still unsuccessful with update. Anyone else with similar issues? Any recommendations?

I just got mine back from The Ford Store Morgan Hill. It was there for two and a half days, but it’s working well. They had issues downloading the updates, but it finally finished. Frustrating that it can take so long, so be patient.

Maybe I don’t understand the process. Are they actually downloading each vehicle update from the internet, or “downloading” into the vehicles from an attached device? Anyone know the answer to that as well?

They had mine for 4 work days plus a long weekend.
The first day they were 7 hours in to an update and it failed, so they lost a day.
They were taking mine from Dec 2020 up to the latest.
Next day it worked, then they had to check that and then they had issues pulling down the final update. I gave them some feedback on what messages I was getting on my app as well, I sat in the car with the tech and went over a few things. In about two hours they had it solved and thew last update happened quickly.
Hopefully they get it done today! Ask them if you can have it for the weekend.

Are they actually downloading each vehicle update from the internet, or “downloading” into the vehicles from an attached device? Anyone know the answer to that as well?
I believe that FDRS finds the updates for a vehicle, which are stored on Ford's servers, then downloads those from the server to the laptop, which then applies them to the vehicle.

I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night though.

Appreciate the comments and successes you all have had and will keep fingers crossed that it will happen before the weekend.
I did go in yesterday and removed and re added the car on my Ford pass app, as their final troubleshooting step. But a test drive after that revealed that Blue Cruise update still did not 'take'.
So they are back to working on updates again. ?

My dealer is finally up to speed to fix software issues. They need to make sure their FDRS software is up to date first to get the latest updates. Then they run all the updates. just went last week and they got it all straight.

Yep. Many others with the very same issue. Your choices are to leave the car with them and hope they can figure it out (but it doesn't look promising), or ask for it back and do without that feature. Or you can learn how to do it yourself. Several here have figured out how to do stuff like that.

My dealer attempted the BC update in April and was unsuccessful. Some folks have reported here that Ford now understands the issue and has made the necessary corrections but that must not be true. Obviously you are having issues and it is almost July. My brother-in-law took in his car a couple of weeks ago with the same result.

Waiting for the OTAs may not help either. I have all the PowerUps as well and still no BlueCruise. Some cars just won't take the software.
