BlueCruise going out OTA to regular plebs (non-EA owners)!

there was some sort of additional map update I needed to get mine working post 2.8.3.

In this thread, it says the map update is 22P08. Does this have to be done at the dealer? How can I tell if this has been done?

So, I got BlueCruise installed at the dealer in addition to getting some other software that got me off of 1.7.1. BlueCruise didn't work after that. But, I did start to immediately get updates, and I am up to 2.8.3 and initiated BlueCruise through connected services. Again, no BlueCruise. I don't know if there is supposed to be a mention of it in the center console, but there is nothing there.

What do you think the issue is now?

I think you're only the second person I've heard of who got BC via dealer update, but still got the last round of OTAs. Anyone else? I DIYed my BC update, but don't have any OTA notifications queued up. I don't care about features, but did want the secondhand confirmation that my car was considered up to date by the mothership.

I thought they would just show up as 'failed' since my modules are fully updated, but I'm not even seeing that message on the OTA widget.

Just got the notification that 2.7.2 is queued up for Mjolnir. Almost exactly two weeks (give or take a couple hours) after 2.7.1 installed.

Look at your About Sync menu, at the bottom it will show the expiration date for the maps. Mine is showing 10-9-2022, but BC is not working. I just made an appointment to take it back to the dealer next week. OTAs have not fixed it, maps seem up to date and it shows activated online. My lane centering is not working at all, so I am sure some module is messed up. I was told there is no OTA fix for my car yet.

Same happened to me. Got 21G01 at the dealer, but BC and lane centering have been inoperative since then. Then a couple of weeks later I got 2.8.2 and 2.8.3, still not working. On Friday it showed in connected Services I have BC trial until 5/26/2023, still not working.

Sync Version went from 415 to 421 when I got the 2.8.3 OTA and it started showing Lane Centering with Hand Free on the menu. But the maps expiration showed -- at that point and no BC showing in connected services at all. Later BC went to Activation Pending in Connected Services, then last Friday it toggled to Trial Expires 5/26/2023 and the maps in the car shows 10/9/2022.

Ford is terrible at software updates. Off to the dealer again next week.

Exactly two weeks for me, chose to update now instead of waiting till tonight!

Only updates that require the car to be inoperable follow the schedule. All other install when ready in the background.

Last week I got 2.7.3 queued up and then updated. That update was due to expire today around 10AM. I waited all last week hoping the next one would queue up to install before this one expired. It happened on a couple of the earlier ones. Went to the movies this morning (did you know that Tuesday matinees are just $5.50 at the right theater!) and when I came out, nothing. Stopped for lunch and 2.7.4 was queued by the time I was done. Installed just now, I just hope that the next one doesn't wait a week for this one to expire before it gets installed.

Couple minutes later I look in the widget to see....Preconditions not met.... Fordpass says it will install in the next scheduled window. Hope that's the 8 pm window tonight. 2.8.2 installed successfully this afternoon.

Fordpass shows we are BC enabled for 1 year from today.

Just gotta finish that episode of Kings of Pain and then maybe a test drive.

Iya good that they say why, maybe they could include which conditions next. I wonder if your lights came on because your fob came in to range.

I just pressed upgrade now then got a notice to secure the car and then it started to count down while I walked away. Got a notice in Fordpass about 15 minutes later that the upgrade was complete.
