BlueCruise going out OTA to regular plebs (non-EA owners)!

No, because I told them i had an MME and needed a 10k check, state inspection and tire rotation. They still put me down for and ice 10k check, they didn't perform the 10k check, and just did the inspection and tire rotation.

What is the issue? I'm not sure what the PA state inspection entails, but I would bet that it encompasses the 10k mi maintenance schedule MINUS the tire rotation.

All y'all regular plebs may be enjoying your blue cruise, but I've learnt to look at the battery half charged. So today I plan to use the latest, top of the line, cutting edge feature Ford gave me via OTAs... That's right, you may be able to drive with no hands, but I can set off a ridiculously annoying series of honks and flashes using the 'horn and lights' update!

Your probably right on that. If that was communicated when I dropped the car or picked it up, I wouldn't have been so ticked at the experience.

2.8.2 installed yesterday and when I tried to Activate Blue Cruise kept running into ERR_3000:

Has anyone else experienced something similar? The only reference I can find in the forum is on another thread with regards to activating the Blue Oval Charging Network and adding a CC to the User Account.

Seems like a Serve-side issue when I try to Activate? @Ford Motor Company

2.8.1 installed last Thursday, 2.8.2 installed today. BlueCruise is working!

Was hopeful 2.8.2 would install before the Holiday Weekend, but no such luck.

I'm hoping 2.8.2 comes soon as my update to 2.8.1 was last Thursday as well!

It's weird as when I turn on the cruise control currently it does say I a message prompt that I have BlueCruise on and seems to be using the eye tracker to warn me to "watch the road", but no hands free yet. So far the eye tracking warning was more annoying than anything... Lots of false positives for me but hoping it gets better with the rest of the updates.

Same happened to me. Got 21G01 at the dealer, but BC and lane centering have been inoperative since then. Then a couple of weeks later I got 2.8.2 and 2.8.3, still not working. On Friday it showed in connected Services I have BC trial until 5/26/2023, still not working.

Sync Version went from 415 to 421 when I got the 2.8.3 OTA and it started showing Lane Centering with Hand Free on the menu. But the maps expiration showed -- at that point and no BC showing in connected services at all. Later BC went to Activation Pending in Connected Services, then last Friday it toggled to Trial Expires 5/26/2023 and the maps in the car shows 10/9/2022.

Ford is terrible at software updates. Off to the dealer again next week.

I'm in a similar situation as you. I did the glass recall beginning of May along with 21P22 and 21G01. I tried using BlueCruise just last week and it's not working. Lane Centering not working as well. The Driver's Assistance menu shows the "Lane Centering w/ Hands Free" prompt activated. Sync version 421. Maps expire on 10/9/22. Weird thing is that I don't have BlueCruise under my Connected Services. Power Up menu still shows 2.1.

My connected services indication did not initially change after the failed 21G01 update. It just kept saying "Coming Soon". Then around the time of the OTAs, it disappeared on the connected services page. Then a week later, it came back up on that page showing the expiration date.

I think anyone that got the dealer update around the first week of May will have this issue. I was told by Ford an issue was uncovered that the dealers would not have been able to find at that time. If you remember people were talking about all these FDRS changes going on at that time, likely related.

You're lucky you actually saw it under Connected Services. Mine doesn't even show up at all even though the car has (seemingly) all of the things installed for BC to work.

That's exactly how mine behaved before 2.8.2 installed. Hopefully you'll get that soon!

Mine did disappear (connected services) for about a week, then came back with the expiration date. I have been told by Ford I have to go back to the dealer to get it fixed. No OTA yet. I am scheduled at the dealer next Tuesday. I will post the results, hopefully this will finally get me out of BlueCruise purgatory.

One of the SW updates I'd really like to see is an FDRS like "module updates available" screen in the car that I could pick from and have them download OTA on demand (even if only over wifi).

Updates applied at the dealership in May. I checked today and have "Activation Pending" in connected services but no way to actually turn on BlueCruise in either owner.ford.com or FordPass. There is no Manage button like for other services. On Chat right now with Ford agent.

Been stuck at 2.7.4 for a week now so maybe one day we will get BC in canada?
