Got a message I need to create an electroverse account as blueoval is discontinuing. Only problem is it is impossible to sign up as the process is in an infinite loop. I am located in the Nordic region. Anyone have this issue?
(Edit: it is now resolved. Suspect heavy traffic crashed the service)

Unlike the claim, the app does anything but select the cheapest chargepoints.

Have joined - but they don’t support Plug &Charge at Ionity - when i try to configure it says that the car don’t support it ….hmmmm

It seems like this is only happening in Europe. And it’s complete nonsense. The app doesn’t work for me here in Germany either. Registration finally became possible just today, but I still can’t order a card.

And get this: Plug & Charge won’t even work at launch. You actually have to disable the old Plug & Charge feature in the Ford app first, or you could end up getting charged twice. That’s buried somewhere in the fine print. WTF?!

Total BS from Ford Europe. At this point, I honestly think they should just shut down Ford Europe altogether and let Dearborn handle things directly. It really feels like the European branch has no idea what they’re doing…

And what’s the supposed benefit of this new system anyway? From where I’m sitting, it just broke more stuff. Now I’ve got a ā€œChargingā€ button in the Ford app that doesn’t even seem to do anything anymore. Brilliant move, Ford. @Ford Motor Company

I don't have a lot of information on this, but from what it seems, the pain points you're describing are temporary. I'll ask the team if they can outline key benefits and what to expect in the future.

Thanks for your effort. Let me add a few specific issues I’m facing as a customer:

  1. It’s currently impossible to link the Ford account with Electroverse (see screenshot). It’s been like this for days…
  2. You can’t order a charging card either (same issue for days, see screenshot 2).
  3. What’s going to happen with all the charging settings and information in the Ford app? (See screenshot 3.) Everything is now ā€œduplicated,ā€ but the ones in the Ford app apparently shouldn’t be used anymore? Will they be removed in Europe? Otherwise, that would make no sense…
  4. Will my Sync 4A navigation in the Mustang Mach-E and the built-in navigation in my European Ford Explorer EV work with the new ā€œElectroverseā€ charging network? That’s unclear too. Will the update come automatically—remotely?

We're streamlining our public charging services to enhance your experience. Here's what you need to know:

No Double Billing

Rest assured, you will not be charged twice for the same charging event. During the transition phase, from October 27th to November 17th, 2025, you have control over which service you use and invoices you:
  • If you use the Octopus Electroverse App or Electroverse RFID Card to start a public charging session, your invoice will come from Octopus Electroverse.
  • If you use the Ford App, Ford RFID Card, or Plug & Charge (P&C), your invoice will come from Ford Smart Mobility.
  • Plug & Charge (P&C): When connecting to a P&C-capable charging point (e.g., IONITY), this method will automatically initiate charging, and Ford Smart Mobility will issue the invoice. If you prefer to use Octopus Electroverse at P&C-capable stations, you have the option to disable Plug & Charge in your settings.
  • FordPass App Updates The Public Charging Services menu within the Ford App will be removed after November 17th. We've implemented an overlapping transition period to ensure continuous service for all our customers, preventing any disruption to your charging capabilities.

Key Benefits of the New Service Enjoy an enhanced charging experience with:
  • Approximately 20% more charge points available across Europe.
  • More transparent pricing structures.
  • New in-app features, including multi-stop routing.
  • Integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Wow, you’re absolutely reliable! Thanks for finally clarifying everything - including the info about what’s happening with the menu in the app. Those details really matter to me. :)

I’m definitely glad to hear that the Sync navigation will also be updated. I use it for all my longer trips because of the battery pre-conditioning, and I find it much more stable than CarPlay. Unfortunately, in my Mustang Mach-E I often lose the ā€œsatellite connection,ā€ and CarPlay / the iPhone can’t find my position anymore… the integrated Sync system works flawlessly.

Once again, thank you, Brian. That’s top-notch support.

P.S. I really hope something will be done soon about that ā€œother problem,ā€ and that I’ll finally be able to use BlueCruise… so far, still no update for my car and no further info from Ford Europe.

Same problem here
They want pcid to enable it, but vin is not accepted.
Pretty hopeless
Took 15 mins to get it to charge at ionity through electros app

I ma getting a message on ford sync screen in car since the turn off in UK on Dec 17 where chargers are no longer visible. I assume there should be a software update to fix this??? I haven’t received it because the car is searching for blueoval chargers but of course it’s now done through Electroverse.
Any help for this please???
