I just took a decently long trip (Austin to South Padre and back) since my Ford nav expired using Google Maps via Android Auto and have only one annoyance. So I decided to let it expire and see if there's anything I miss. Only if I miss something would I then consider subscribing.
I was using Tesla Superchargers the whole trip since I bought a 1 month subscription. The car kept complaining that I was about to be too far to reach any charger when in reality I was simply going to a Tesla Supercharger that the Ford nav didn't know about.
I wish the Ford nav would at least get charger updates without a subscription. That seems like a fundamental need in an EV.
Actually, did the Ford nav ever get Tesla Superchargers? I know it didn't at least for many months after gaining access to Tesla Superchargers.
