After several months of no problems all of a sudden, my iPhone 14 won't work as a key. It says "Bluetooth Disconnected". Carplay does does work. I've reset my phone and re-linked to the car to no avail. Before i started resetting stuff, thought I'd ask you guys for help.
Thanks

I have suddenly had nothing but problems with my iPhone 14. CarPlay won’t connect wirelessly, Bluetooth quit working for a bit but now works again etc. My wife’s iPhone would connect without any issue thus proving it’s the phone, not the car. I sat in the car and had Apple support on the line, we got NOWHERE. I just ordered a Pixel 8. Apple just sucks. This is the last problem I am willing to deal with on a $1300 phone.

happy to report that i got it working without pulling fuse. Just reset the PAAK, shut the phone and reopened, and then Ford Pass let me redo the link. Not sure why it happened but it happened in my driveway so not stuck somewhere, and the fix was reasonable. Definitely have the passcodes set now so if it happens on the road can get home. I like not carrying the fob. Live on the wild side!

Mine is the same, stopped working as key or allowing me to use the app to start/lock etc day two after purchasing the car and displaying ”bluetooth disconnected” but all other aspects of the app work as does apple carplay and wife’s phone worked until this weekend when hers now says bluetooth disconnected. Have tried deleting, reinstalling etc with no luck. We’ll try the PAAK and fuse next.

Same thing started happening for me two days ago. When I pull up the SYNC display and go to "Connectivity," Bluetooth is not on, even though it had been for the past two months. And when I turn it on an exit the panel, it only lasts during the drive. When I return to my car, the Bluetooth option is back to "off."

Will try re-setting the key. Do I just delete it and create a new one in the Key List?

After my iPhone 14 updated to 17.1.1 PAAK stopped working. The iOS change seemed like it change some connection protocol so that Sync didn't recognize my phone any longer. When I opened the bluetooth setting on my iphone I could see it trying to connect with the MME over and over. When I looked on the Sync bluetooth settings, I could see the iPhone in the list and it I tried to connect, it would give an error.

I unlinked the iphone from my Sync profile and deleted it as a key on FordPass app. I forgot both Mach-E bluetooth connections on my iphone. Then on Sync I added the iphone and reconnected bluetooth and then on the FordPass app setup my iphone as a PAAK. It works again.
