Bought an Aftermark Lightning Key - Can't Program it

I think the silver back ones are from the ICE keyfob. eBay vendors were selling the frunk modified ones with that for a while before they came out with ones that had the Mach-E mustang back.

Here's a tip I found from someone who tried to program their keyfob and was adding an extra step causing the programming error.

Short of having someone record and watch what steps you're performing, I'm stumped on what else it could be.

I remember seeing this earlier and verified I wasn't doing that. I can definitely record myself and share what I'm doing. It'll have to wait till tonight when I'm home though.

Did the factory keypad code show on the 2nd start up? Maybe wait for it to pop up then turn off and program 3rd key?

Also I'm guessing you have tried with the Mach-E back fob first and then the silver one with the same issue?

The factory keypad code did not when I tried today, but the last time I did this, it did pop up.

And I did try using the Mach-E key first prior to recording.

I'm out of ideas... It could be the keyfob, but you could be also throwing money at a problem that can only be fixed by a dealer visit.

My theory is that it won't work with these cheap $30 keys. Might need those OEM ones that is at least $70.

$39 Amazon fob works fine as a 3rd key but it does not have the frunk button. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BT215FFP
