That’s the information I was looking for. I just started a conversation with a total stranger? I’ve seen his name often, hopefully he will not be offended

How random that you can't get the power liftgate on the CRt1 when you can on the Select (with the Comfort/Tech package).
They’re trying to differentiate the trims.

So I’m getting the CaR1 and keeping my Premium order. I can decide whether to take the Premium when it comes in.

I get that, but you have to admit the power liftgate is a pretty random feature to have standard/optional in all other trims (both above and below in price) but not the CaRt1.

When I ordered, I had a hard time deciding between the CARt1 and Premium. I ended up going with the CARt1 mainly due to the little bit of extra range and slightly lower cost. The additional features on the Premium just weren't enough for me to outweigh those two factors. I liked the seats in the Premium better and the improved sound system. But when I test drove a Select, that was on the lot, I didn't mind the seats in person as much as I thought I would based on pictures. I like the appearance of the Premium wheels better, but range and efficiency is more important to me. Plus ride comfort should be slightly better on the 18s vs 19s. Power litigate (with or without the kick sensor) isn't a factor for me. If I could have added a package on the CARt1 with the light gray seats and improved sound system for $1,000 to $1,500 my decision would have been easy.
For a difference of $2000 I’d get the light gray interior, B & O sound system, 19” wheels in what I consider a nicer look to the wheels, and power lift gate (easier on my shoulders). Downside is 30-40 miles of range lost.
