California Route 1 wheels are EXPENSIVE!

I recently lightly curbed my first CR1 wheel in a Target parking lot.

Had to pick something up at the dealer today and inquired about the price of a new plastic aero insert and the actual black allow wheel itself. The insert is $173!? The wheel is $1200-something!!!!!????? OMG! They asked me what I wanted to do; I said "go to the Tire Rack website and shop for wheels..." I might just get the wheel repaired if it bothers me, but wow, didn't expect that...

I wanted a identical spare wheel an tire for a backup. I purchased a take off wheel on eBay and a new tire from tire rack. Check online, might get lucky

Yeah, absolutely. I'll probably get the tiny bit of actual alloy wheel damage repaired for ~$60 and maybe even just paint or coat all of the inserts to gloss black. I was just curious, also because I'm contemplating a set of winter wheels/tires.

That’s crazy. You can get a whole set of GTPE wheels with TPMS sensors and center caps for not much more.

Dealers are expensive.

Part # (engineering number) for the aero cover is LJ8Z-1130-B. I don't see any used ones on ebay at the moment, but you can buy a new one for $125 from several different dealers.

Don't replace the wheel. Just buy some touch-up paint. If you enter your VIN in the Ford Parts website, it should give you the touch up paint for the wheels if you search for paint (it did on our Select).
