This is on a brand new GT that we just picked up yesterday, didn't notice until we got it home.

Is there any other trick to get the propulsion sound turned off? It is enabled in all 3 drive modes, toggling off it will appear to take for about 3 seconds then returns to ON. I have tried the SYNC reset (volume/track) multiple times but the issues still persists.

Just put it in Whisper mode which does not allow propulsion sound to be artificially generated. You will still enjoy instant torque with great acceleration without any noise! Enjoy your Mach e.

Thanks for the suggestion, even in whisper it was showing propulsion toggled on, not that I would have wanted to stay in whisper full time.

Funny thing though... woke up this morning an started car and it had returned to normal operation. So issue resolved for now at least.

Sound is still generated in whisper mode, it’s just significantly less pronounced.

Could have been an update in progress in the background interupting communications. That sometimes throws some discrepancies between the toggle view in Sync and the modules in the car. Glad it was resolved.

Yeah, plus a good percentage of quirks and oddities are resolved by a shutdown, time unpowered, and a restart. 🤷

I know not everyone is the FORScan type, but for those that are, you can disable it here in the APIM it seems:

thanks Javi
So, changing the * to "B" will probably do the trick....for those of us FORSCANers

Depends on what value is already there. I didn't actually pull the data of a Mach E to see what value they show and if it is the same value across all cars. Bascially, just change the value so that everything matches what is already enabled/disabled but with PSS disabled.
