I actually prefer having the propulsion sound off because the quiet is really nice, but yesterday I tried turning it on while driving home because I was curious.

I didn't hear anything, even when at 3/4 throttle or so. Is this normal? I had the radio off, do I need it on to hear propulsion sound?

Again, not a big deal as I prefer to keep it off, but just wondering if there may be a part missing or not working that I should have looked at while it's still new and any repairs such as this should still be covered.

What drive mode were you in? It is VERY quiet in whisper. I think it is too quiet even in unbridled.

I can only ever hear it in unbridled. I didn’t even know it worked in the other drive modes.

It doesn't work in Whisper...

WHISPER
Whisper mode is for relaxed driving and
adverse weather conditions. This is the
best mode for driving in slippery conditions.
This mode decreases accelerator response
at partial inputs. Steering tunes for
comfort. When you release the accelerator
pedal, your vehicle slowly decelerates
allowing for a more comfortable ride. The
interior sound turns off and the ambient
lights and cluster graphics are set to blue
with a graphic that starts to illuminate blue
as you drive efficiently at consistent
speeds.

I hear it pretty well. It definitely mimics the revved up acceleration sound when you hit the accelerator. Like others have said, the sound is more pronounced in Unbridled mode, and more faint in the other mode (brain fart that i cannot remember the name.. :-D). I only drive in Unbridle since I got the car 18 months ago.

actually you hear it better if the radio is on and playing something, it compensates for the volume you have your audio set to

I only drive in Unbridled with propulsion sound on. It’s very subtle. I pretty much only hear it when accelerating with a firm push in the pedal. Then again, I hear this ringing sound right now …?

I hadn’t realized that the swirling patterns in Whisper mode were tied to efficient driving styles. That’s simultaneously pretty cool and annoying, the extra blue light from the instrument panel produces noticeable glare at night. ?

I guess the solution to the glare is to start driving like a spaz. ?
