I have a 2021 AWD ER premium Job 1.
I have 2 OBD2 Vgate adapters, one for Bluetooth LE, and an older one for WiFi.

My OBD2 adapters and apps used to work; I had not used them for a while, then they stopped connecting to ECU.
The adapters do connect to ELM327 either over BTLE or WiFi, but not ECU.
I have tried Car Scanner, Forscan viewer and other apps on my iPhone 15, IOS 17.5

I also tried my Foxwell hardwired OBD2 tool. Only 5 modules show up ($07E series), but I just used the generic OBD2 as I don't have the Ford specific firmware.

I had the 10k mi checkup (multi point inspection and rotate tires), HVBJB 23S56 recall, and state inspection done by my Ford dealer June 14.
For the HVBJB recall, it says "accessed diagnostic port, performed control module update, cleared DTCs, verified no codes returned".
The change in behaviour may have happened after the recall work or an OTA update - last update was 24-PU0301-BLM-PE June 1.

I tried disconnecting the 12V battery ground for over 10 min, but no change.

I can dm my VIN, if that helps.
@Mach-Lee @Mike G @rugedraw any ideas? Thanks for your help.

You can send me the VIN, but I am not sure where to begin to look to see why the adapters are not working. Have you tried connecting to FORScan to see if it show all the modules that way? You said you hadn't used them in a while.....maybe old firmware on them now? I have a cheap BT ODBII dongle I use for Torque with Android Auto, but I also haven't used it in months.

Apps updated? Firmware versions on the dongles updated? Is the car fully on when you're trying to connect (power light is solid not blinking)? Does there appear to be any damage to the OBD port? Bent pins?

I haven't used the BTLE (my main adapter for mme) for a few months.
I don't yet have a cable for Forscan - PC, I was just about to order one which is what started all this.
I was checking to see what I could get from just the Forscan viewer app, and found that I couldn't get Car Scanner to work either.
Thanks - Doug.

Apps are up to date. I have not checked on dongle firmware - I will.
Yes car is fully on, I have done this before.
OBD port is fine ( was also just used by the dealer).
I know very well about bent pins (and metalic debis in connectors) from working with students!
Thanks - Doug.

I tried the wifi dongle in one of my other cars, and it connected to Car Scanner fine.
I didn’t change anything with the dongles or the apps, but now it works in the MME.
Thanks for the help and suggestions.

I think your carscanner app was probably putting the wrong profile on the dongle and trying to get the MME to be something else.

I did change the car to my other car, and then back to MME. But I had checked that I had the correct profile earlier. Maybe it just needed a refresh.
Thanks.

In case of more cars you should add another vehicle in 'My Cars', where you select connection profile (some have preloaded screens) for another car. All settings and screens for the Mach-E are not messed up this way.
