This just started a couple days ago. Anytime I have my car plugged in at home, it’s preconditioning. It shows in the Ford Pass app, and I can confirm it’s actually preconditioning by consumption from my Emporia charger and the fact that the coolant pump is running.

Yes that's normal if the battery is cold. It's trying to warm it up. Let it go for an hour and it should stop.

It preconditions the battery and heats the cabin, as if I had a departure time set, which I don't.

I can't plug in at home without the cabin warming up.

So air is blowing out of the vents and you don't have a departure time set? Can you turn on the car and check the departure times are cleared out on the vehicle screen?

I had that happen one time, vehicle initiated a departure time after plugging in. Weird. If you think that's the case, then I'd recommend a 12V reset (disconnect 12V cable) to reboot the modules. Haven't had issues with it lately.

Where in the app does it show that it is preconditioning?

Ok, yes, got it. It would be nice though if it said it was preconditioning and why as it does in a Tesla, both on the screen and in the app.

I had a problem with my 23 doing the same thing . Turning of departure time didn’t work, so I deleted all saved departure times to solve the problem.

My ford pass shows preconditioning “until 9:08 pm” even when it is not plugged in. It is not especially cold here…40s. I think it must be a software glitch and I hope nothing is actually happening to the car. It started about a week ago.

Yes. I haven’t had a chance to force reset everything. I deleted all departure times and recreated them. Same symptoms.

Here it is now.
