Georgia Cargo Cover

I was told that the cargo cover is available only through aftermarket sellers. Does anyone know of a reliable source for buying one for a 2025 Mach E Premium?

You can buy it from Ford, but it'll usually be cheaper elsewhere.

Hopefully somebody here has a spare, but if not I'd suggest a salvage yard would probably be the cheapest. Any year, and any trim will fit.

There's one on eBay for $270.

On our Premium Mach E, I was able to get the Ford cargo cover “throw in” as part of my purchase deal. As I recall it retalied for over $300. It works and is very lightweight but quite expensive for what it is. Construction is on the flimsy side with an edged piece of fabric using two plastic pivots and strings with loops that allow it to lift as the hatch is raised. Those plastic pivots also look like they would break easily and in fact I had rented a 2024 Mach E before we purchased and one was broken. Knowing that, when I need to remove this cover to carry something bulky, I am very careful when pulling the plastic pivot off so as not to stress them. I think there is an aftermarket design that is more like a roller shade like we had on a VW Sportwagen. That sounds like a more robust design but I suspect it works like the one on our VW and has to be retracted to access the deeper cargo.

Don't get the OEM. It is flimsy and the string attachments easily pop off. Rather go to AOSK and buy for $114. Their product rolls up on itself like a windowshade. See the AOSK spring sale on yesterday's popular posting...

That retractable cover looks great and wish I knew about it before I negotiated having the Ford version “thrown in” with my purchase. . Maybe I could have gotten something else from them instead! . Questions for folks that have this retractable cover : 1) It appears to require installation of supporting clips. Do these require some modifications to secure them in place and once in are they robust and durable? 2) The cross bar that the shade retracts into I assume goes up to the rear seats but does not interfere with folding the seats. . Is that easily removed so when you fold the seats that bar can be removed to accommodate taller cargo? The only pluses I can see for the Ford cover then is it uses mounts that are already part of the factory trim and the cover lifts out of the way when the hatch is opened. That though is offset by a flimsy design that may not hold up and significantly higher cost.

I'd read those Amazon reviews to be sure that's the route you want to go. I believe the aftermarket ones require 3m tape on one end and drilling into the other end on both sides. I could be wrong but that's wrong what I recall. Some people reported the tape side coming off. I don't have personal experience with it so I can't speak on it.

Thanks. I do not plane to do ANY drilling into any part of the car. I'll go without a cover before I'll drop holes into anything.
