This likely not come to existing MMEs without some hardware changes. I would not expect it until some time after the next generation MMEs comes out. ??
I doubt this would require a hardware update to be supported -- they already have access to the dashboard's console with OTA updates. But I completely expect Ford will require it to try a force sales for those that want the feature.

Yes, but it still suggests Tesla supercharging stations which aren’t able to connect with a Ford/Tesla adapter :(
Use the Public Charging app. It will list Tesla stations that support the adapter.

I’m pretty sure there’s no direct 3rd party access to the IPC. Also, I’m not sure Ford provides 3rd party isochronous access to critical data.

As a professional programmer I can assure you that if Ford can access the secondary screen they can create the required APIs or hooks to make it available if they wanted. I doubt they will want to though.

Agreed but I’d like to stick with a route planner which I can use for navigating as well. I’m not the type to plan out navigation before i go on a trip. I prefer realtime and I know this can cause its own set of problems but I prefer this way. I still have flashbacks to preplanning with paper maps days (argh!)

I’ll be honest, I’d rather they achieve “CarPlay Competent” before I trust all my screens to CarPlay Ultra.

CarPlay is pretty but it still has a number of gaps specifically in Apple’s own apps like Maps (whole other rant post), Podcasts (unless your channel starts with the letter “A”), Music (here’s some of your favourites), Weather (what weather?), and phone (no dial pad for you! Wait to park to choose 1 for English!).

Not trying to pick a fight, love Apple and the ecosystem but CarPlay is not ready for “Ultra” status

I’m pretty sure that nobody here knows how easy or hard it would be to create that API. For all we know, that screen could be controlled by a somewhat isolated separate system.

Sadly those are Ford decisions. Each OEM can control how limited the functions are in motion. I've had a few cars that let you use the dialer, keyboard, infinitely scroll lists, etc. but Ford and GM are two I've seen that severely limit it. The dialer especially is stupid.

You should be able to disconnect her (music/phone browsing sounds), I'm at work at the moment but when I get back into the car I will take a picture of where the setting is for that.
Is that the "Driver Focus" feature?

Decided to try the darkside and pulled out an old Samsung to see how the Android Auto experience is. All I can say is "wow!" Very impressed and when you add in Gemini as well it's a much better experience so far. As much as I like Apple it's nice to use ABRP as it was meant to be used, without a BT OBD2 connector. Google just passes the APIs through to third party apps. ?
