CarPlay Wifi Not Connecting

Has anyone heard if Ford is updating the software to correct the Wifi connection for CarPlay? I often have to turn my Wifi off and on to get CarPlay to work. I see CarPlay but the sound is not transmitting. Not only is this inconvenient, it is a saftey issue.

The no sound happens to me often.
What I do is go to the phones on the car screen. Switch it to Bluetooth and then back to CarPlay and sound is back.

I often have to try playing music from the phone before making a call to make sure I can hear the other people.

Turning the Wi-Fi on and off corrects the issue. This should be an easy fix with an update. It is evident that Ford is not a tech company. This is one of a few issues I have. The others are with the interface and usability.

WiFi of the phone? That seems dangerous compared to what I do.

I’ve had issues as well with CarPlay. Most common one is when I’m on a phone call and it drops out then comes back again and then drops again, etc. Very annoying. Then, sometimes when I’m playing music the sound doesn’t work so I have to mute then unmute the volume and SOMETIMES it works. I really hope this Apple update fixes some of the issues, because it is VERY frustrating

I have it happen more often than I like, and also the connection just quit and wouldn't reconnect on a trip, when I was using Maps to navigate. Very frustrating. I disconnected and reconnected, turned the car and phone off and back on twice. I walked away from the car at home, went back an hour later and everything was fine. I had to reconnect PaaK too.

It’s been 3 days and I haven’t seen a disconnect or audio issue. But too soon to tell.
