I have the Ford Charge Station Pro.
I set my Target Charge to 90% at home after reading a lot of posts here and the Owner's Manual (RTFM).
I thought it may be good to schedule my charge times, as I typically end the day at around 35 - 50% (depending on the day)..
Since I started the Preferred Charge Times, I keep getting a Charging Error in the Ford Pass App.
For example, as of this writing, it is 8:18 p.m. EDT, but the Preferred Charge Time for today is 11:00 p.m. EDT...
So:
1. What is it doing even trying to charge?
2. Why am I getting a charging error - I have changed NOTHING other than setting a Preferred Charge Time?

Any ideas?

Hammer

PS. And yes, I am going to remove the Preferred Charge Times until I figure it out.

2024 MME Premium just bought 1 month ago. I am having the same issue. Just had Ford Connected Charge Station installed.. Works great on “anytime“ setting but gives error message when I set up beginning/end charge time.

Yeah - I’ve come to the conclusion that Ford IT is pretty much useless, which is a shame, because the product has SO much potential.

Copied my reply from a other topic on this type of subject:

Not sure if related, but I got some charging errors earlier that would stop the charging and “crash” the car (letting it rest for 15 minutes worked). The techs said that the car seemingly reported repeatedly on/off charging, which it does not like, which contributes to the error. My issue is that my charger has a load balancing system, hence it will vary the speeds, from 2-12 kWh. Problem with this is that the car then starts charging outside the planned times as it fears it won’t reach the planned charging goal at departure time. This leads to sporadic on/off charging as it cycles the charging speeds and kicks in the charging. I have yet to find a solution other than to let it just charge when it wants. Infuriating that I can’t force the car to ONLY charge within hour x and y (departure time trumfs everything).
