Check the paint around your fin.

I just hit 50,000 miles, and I've spotted paint coming off of the island around the shark fin. The paint warranty is only covered by the 36,000 mi bumper to bumper warranty against manufacturer defects, so if you haven't hit your 36,000 mi I would encourage you to check the paint around this edge.

For the record My vehicle is parked indoors and well maintained, during the week I might have the car out for 20 or 30 miles, but on the weekends I tend to put 200-300 plus miles on.

That's interesting. The trailing edge of mine looked like that. I only noticed after two independent events: the car was lightly rear-ended while the dealer had it to do the glass recalls.

My first assumption was it had occured during the roof glass recalls. The dealer blamed the accident which seemed highly unlikely to me.

Now I wonder if it was unrelated to both - and I only noticed because I was looking closely after I got the car back. ?

Happened with my MY21 with 30,000 miles on the clock. Again only noticed when cleaning. Warranty claim approved just waiting on parts as they are replacing the complete glass roof!
