When I drive on the deteriorating bouncy winter asphalt roads my Mach e makes a clunking noise coming from the underside of the car. I thought it could be the hatch cover or the styrofoam mold for the flat tire kit but it is not. It almost sounds like the batteries are shifting and bouncing as I go over a bump. Anyone have this experience? It's quite loud and make me feel like I am driving a 10 yr old car and it is a 2024.

Try tightening the front sway bar bushing brackets.

Thanks. I just went out again in the car and I notice it is coming from the right rear passenger side.

I had clunking noise from right rear area. Was somewhat quiet clunking and only over certain bumpy road sections. It got louder over time. I drove around in the cargo area while spouse at the wheel and could not locate it with any precision.

I just recently had my Ford dealership take a look a look at number of items (this noise, 12v battery replaced under warrant, drive mode unavailable led to many modules being reprogrammed under warranty, some trim condition issues found to be normal, probably something else I’m forgetting), at 30k maintenance while still under 36mo warranty. Helped inform ford options decision for me. From the service notes:

Found this thread from a search because I'm having something similar. I also kept thinking it sounded like maybe some of the batteries were bouncing around. Sounds like from the rear passenger side, other times I almost think it's the front. I thought strut related, but haven't checked on it. I'm due to take it in soon and looking for suggestions. Was it the same condition on your vehicle?
