Hi there. I'll need to take the car in, of course. But any ideas/experiences/thoughts on a new "clunking sound" from the back (underneath?) of the vehicle when hitting bumps in the road?

Thank you!

Heading down a hill, try shifting into neutral and lightly applying brake pedal pressure. This can help clean out some sources of noise. This can become more apparent when it is quite wet outside (you have winter slush on the roads right now), particularly combined with the Brake Hold function enabled.

With regenerative braking, the brake rotors and pads don't get used as heavily as in an ICE car, possibility resulting in rust/grit buildup on the rotor, returning a thud sound on each wheel rotation as that section of rotor passes under the open pad.

A good rule of thumb would be to make physical braking a once-a-week maintenance routine.

The car's software should've been written to occasionally apply the physical brakes rather than always first using regenerative braking.
