Nope. Ford is particularly bad.

For example, Polestar is quoting Oct delivery for an order placed today.
I don't know that a comparison with Polestar is fair... a lot of people don't even know the brand. I don't know what their production numbers are like relative to the demand.

For some other comparisons... as a backup, I placed an order for a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. That was back in March 2022. Estimated time to delivery was 5-6 months. It still hasn't entered production, four months later. Edit: it actually arrived in July, they just didn't give me updates on its status.

A close friend ordered a Toyota Tacoma (standard truck) around the same time I placed my Mach-E order, October 2021. He just took delivery of his truck - eight months to delivery. And that's not even an electric vehicle.

Tesla is showing a delivery estimate of September to December 2022 (3-5 months) for the Model 3. However, I was interested in the Model X, which had about a year's lead time. That doesn't seem to have changed: the website is showing March to June 2023 (8-11 months - same as the Mach-E).

I cross-shopped the Kia EV6 as well. That one was harder to get an estimate on, but it sure seemed like inventory was coming in a lot faster than Ford or Tesla. They were getting sold pretty quickly, so it wasn't about a glut of inventory - it seemed like Kia had better production.

Ford is certainly not aspirational in their production, nor in how organized the process has been, but they're not far behind other companies from what I've seen.

I waited 15 months. Count yourself lucky if yours hasn’t been built yet.
Yes obtaining our EV was a lesson in patience. Feeling the OPers pain. It is new tech couple that with everything else that is going on I think patience is the new norm.

I drove from Houston to San Antonio and back yesterday total electric recharge cost $7.35
OK now you are just rubbing it in ;).
